Port Vale (Away) Carabao Cup Wednesday 24th September 8.00pm
Arsenal's first appearance in this season's Carabao Cup will be against League One opposition, Port Vale. The 'Valiants' managed by Darren Moore, currently lie in 24th position in the division with a start of P6, L4 and D2. This fixture will give Arsenal the chance to field a team with first team players and players on the fringes of full team football. Likewise, it will give Arteta the opportunity to blend in players from Arsenal's youth team for experience with a view to introducing them to the full team in the future. Vale park will be full to capacity on the night of the match and Arsenal will face a stiff challenge from the home side. This will be the first time that Arsenal have met the Vale in competitive football since January 1998, a game which saw the Valiants take Arsene Wenger's side to penalties in an FA Cup Third Round replay.
📆 We'll be welcoming Arsenal to Vale Park on Wednesday 24th September.

The final match in a busy September will see the Gunners visit current Carabao Cup holders, Newcastle United at St.James Park for what promises to be a tough encounter in the Premier League. In the head to head meetings between the two clubs, Arsenal have won 77 of the 180 encounters with Newcastle winning in 66 games. The remaining 37 fixtures have resulted in draws.
